Overview
As educational institutions of all kinds continue to grapple with the implications of AI, one critical questions remains: how do we keep educators and learners safe as they interact with this powerful technology?
But, what exactly constitutes safe AI use? And, how might we evaluate the nuances of safe and responsible use both in and out of the classroom?
One way to tackle these complicated questions is to equip educators and learners with helpful frameworks that they can use to evaluate their own uses of AI as well as the choices of their peers, AI developers, government entities, and other institutions.
The fields of ethics and human rights offer long-standing principles that can be applied to the use of artificial intelligence – now and as the technology continues to advance and change.
In this webinar, we will discuss:
- The need for durable frameworks for evaluating responsible uses of rapidly-changing technology
- Frameworks and ideas from the fields of ethics and human rights that can apply to AI
- Practical ideas for incorporating principles of ethics and human rights into discussion about AI in the classroom
