At PedagogyFutures, we take an interdisciplinary, humanities-focussed approach to education technology. Our team comes from backgrounds in philosophy, human rights, performing arts, and technology, which compels us to work towards a future where humans can flourish as technological innovations continue at a rapid pace. Priten is an educator, philosopher, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of technology and education. As the founder of Pedagogy Ventures, an educational technology company helping teachers navigate the AI age, and Academy 4 Social Civics, a nonprofit focused on civics education to prepare students for future problems, he develops innovative solutions to help educators and students navigate changes and challenges, especially technological development.
Priten is the author of “AI & The Future of Education: Teaching in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (Wiley, 2023).” He also teaches social science courses at College Unbound, a bachelor’s college focused on adult learners. He has an academic background in Philosophy (B.A., Harvard College) and Education Policy (M.Ed., Harvard Graduate School of Education).
Nina Bamberg has an MA in International Educational Development from Teachers College at Columbia University with a concentration in Peace and Human Rights Education. Her professional background includes teaching English as a second and foreign language, non-profit program management, and adult education.
As the Director of Curriculum & Instruction at PedagogyVentures, she develops and leads professional development workshops and courses designed to help educators navigate the changes and challenges posed by artificial intelligence. Some recent workshops and courses include AI, Human Rights & Education, AI & Education Summer Boot Camp, Designing AI-Proof Assignments, and AI for the ELA Classroom. She also leads a team that develops and disseminates curriculum and policy resources and conducts research on AI policy and governance.
Nina also serves as the Director of Programs at United 4 Social Change, a non-profit that aims to increase access to an interdisciplinary civics education through curriculum resources, professional development, and student leadership workshops. She also serves as a course associate at Columbia’s School of Professional Studies and as a Citizenship Educator at The New York Historical.
Nina is also a member of several professional coalitions working to improve access to quality civics and AI literacy education, including Democracy Ready NY and CivxNow, where she’s an active member of the AI Work Group.
Curriculum & Instruction Assistant
Sophie Pearo is a junior at Harvard College studying computer science and statistics with a secondary in economics. She is originally from Boxborough, MA and currently lives in Plymouth, MA.
Growth Intern
I bring a passion for educational innovation and accessibility and am currently enrolled in the Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology (LDIT) program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I’m focused on exploring how technology can enhance learning experiences and drive meaningful change, particularly in third world countries and for neurodivergent learners. I’ve had experience teaching English in Vietnam and a background working in Ed Tech. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball, spending time with my family, and trying new foods. By contributing to the growth of Pedagogy Ventures, I’m excited to apply academic knowledge to a real-world setting and to work with educators in leveraging AI and technology to support the next generation of learners.
Intern to the CEO
Eden Getahun is a recent graduate of Harvard University, where she studied Social Studies with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. She brings a strong background in youth mentorship and education, having served as a mentor and curriculum leader with Harvard’s Emerging Leaders Program and as an academic and passion-project mentor with Curious Cardinals. Eden is committed to human-centered, inclusive approaches to learning and education technology that empower young people as creators, thinkers, and leaders. As CEO Intern at Pedagogy Ventures, she supports strategic initiatives at the intersection of AI and equitable EdTech, focusing on scalable solutions that prioritize learner agency, access, and inclusion.
Curriculum Development Associate
Sam is a proud alumnus of the University of Hartford’s Hartt School, where he studied theater and creative writing. Since graduating, he has built a dynamic career as an actor, musician, and educator, performing Off-Broadway, across the country and internationally. When he’s not on stage or working on new writing projects, Sam dedicates his time to teaching music and voice, primarily to kids and teens in the NYC/Long Island area. Passionate about nurturing confidence and compassion, he is deeply committed to empowering the next generation through education.
